It’s the news that we’ve all been waiting for. The Kensington Palace just announced that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are expecting a baby!
Apparently, the royal couple broke the news to the family, including the Queen, on Princess Eugenie’s wedding last week.
Kensington Palace Confirms News
The duchess of Sussex stirred pregnancy rumors earlier today after she touched down in Sydney with a hand protectively holding her stomach.
The speculations were later confirmed by the Kensington Palace with a statement that said, “’Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Sussex is expecting a baby in the Spring of 2019.”

The happy news comes on the first day of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s Commonwealth tour around four different countries including Australia.
The statement further added that both Meghan and Harry were overjoyed with the news. They wanted to thank the public for the support they have shown them ever since the wedding in May.
The pregnancy rumors went into overdrive last Friday when Meghan Markle showed up to Princess Eugenie’s wedding in a loose-fitting Givenchy coat. To fuel the suspicion even further, Harry appeared extremely overprotective about the Duchess. Reporters even spotted him rubbing her lower back.
Royal baby Preparations
Soon-to-be grandma, Doria Ragland, is also preparing herself for the royal baby arrival. Earlier this month reporters spotted Meghan’s mum in California, taking baby-care lessons.
According to royal sources, Doria may move to the Kensington Palace after Meghan gives birth, to be closer to her daughter and the royal baby.
Meghan has reportedly said that she doesn’t want to hire a nanny to look after her children, which makes sense why grandma is volunteering to help with parenting duties.
According to a source, Doria was the first one to find out about the pregnancy news. Meghan is keen to fly her to the U.K. for motherly support.
Royal experts say that the new royal baby will most likely take the surname Sussex as royal protocol. The jubilant coupe made an appearance earlier this morning in Australia.
They were smiling widely and holding hands as they arrived in Sydney with a large royal entourage in tow.
