Sources have confirmed that Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson have called off their engagement.
Too Much Too Soon
TMZ reported on Sunday that Grande wasn’t ready for the commitment and thought that too much was happening too soon.
TMZ source said that the decision to end the engagement was mutual because both Pete and Ariana thought that timing wasn’t right.

Even though Ariana Grande, 25, returned the engagement ring to Pete after the split, she has not removed any photos or videos of her ex-fiancé from social media. Meanwhile, the Saturday Night Live star, 24, had completely deactivated his accounts on Twitter and Instagram.
The heartbreaking news comes only weeks after the death of Ariana’s ex-boyfriend, Mac Miller. The deceased rapper passed away on September 7 due to an alleged drug overdose.
Ever since, the God is a Woman singer has been venting frustration on social media. She recently revealed on Twitter that she had been ‘through hell and back’ and was now taking some much-needed time off from her career to recover from the emotional exhaustion.
Going through a Rough Patch
A source from Ariana’s camp revealed that she is going through a rough patch but thankfully has the support of family and friends during this difficult period in her life.
In the light of the recent events, including Miller’s death and the Vegas attack, it’s understandable that Ariana needs some time to heal. She will be working on new music but there is no date as to when it will be released.
Ariana Grande recently told a fan that she’s already feeling much better, just days before calling off the engagement. She and Pete were first confirmed as a couple on May 21 after it was revealed that they were ‘dating casually’. The news came only two weeks after Ariana’s split from Mac Miller.
Even though the two rushed into the engagement too quickly, Grande and Davidson have been friends ever since she first made an appearance on SNL in 2016.
Pete popped the question with a beautiful 3-karat ring just two weeks into dating and celebrated the engagement in Disneyland with friends.
